When they "sellout" does it make the stock holders more money? If so then do it, the CEO's job is to maximize profit, let politicians and non-profits have agenda's, any company wasting money on principles outside of ROI are mismanaging the company

Why should Apple or Google get any money from your application, or why should u have to pay them, instead of someone downloading their App from directly from said-software's (Epic Games) website..?

I think the whole Qualcomm Patent thingy and lawsuit might get hooked into this (from a hardware perspective) and shed light on all these Monopolies and their practice of "You can only buy from my store" syndrome these companies think they can get away with.



Sweeney's point is valid, though..!

Just that this type of political whining is NOT helping his cause. He should get better lawyers and go after those monopolies harder & fight for what is right. And perhaps visit Trump and make him more aware of what they are doing to Consumer's right to choose, etc.

I agree and disagree. Google and Apple created their platform, its free enterprise, they own it. You do not have to use it. They put in the time effort and R&D and money. The platform belongs to them.

You do not have to buy the game from them, you can always go directly to Epic. Sweeney still raked a lot of money on Apples platform, but like every corporation, hes greedy and wants more. Sweeney can always develop his own phone and OS for it.

When we start running our companies and pricing the way others want us to, its no longer free enterprise.

Now do I agree with what they charge, no. I think its steep, but it is theirs. If they want to take their ball and go home, they can. And Sweeney still gets nothing.

And given what he hasn't done in his 1st term and you voted for him again for a 2nd term that says a lot. Why didn't another Republican step in for a nomination, same can be said for the democrats - Biden should never have ran at all. The FACT is Donald Trump won in land slide fashion. Winning the House, Senate, and Popular Vote. US of A sure, maybe, who knows, statistics shows not much of a difference, but world? paying larger duties on products? having limitations and aggressive sanctions after US were treated them as a cheap workforce for decades? Sure, it will be good for making money... for some who already have them. But overall, there is not much world would gain with this guy at helm.

There is no place on earth where evil, if it is not punished, would not grow stronger.

I think that dealing with this issue, dealing with the most violent people in the US,
requires so much courage that most people do not have. It is worse than that because it means not only there are no people to lead the change, there are not enough people who even want to hear about the issue. They would rather appoint a scapegoat to blame all of it on.

You cannot be serious? Here is a valid example, considering the US is tied to both the Ukraine and Israeli wars, what makes you think those wars cannot escalate to something much bigger (WW3)? Did you not see the Hypersonic Intercontinental Ballistic Missiles launched by Russia? Those things fire off at Mach 20, now could you imagine if actual nukes were attached? We are talking human casualties in the multi-millions.

Do you think Biden wants to negotiate peace? The answer is NO. The Biden/Harris administration contributed to these wars through poor policy/decision making and they have no intention on trying to end it. You speak of global economics, but if you actually understood economics (specifically macroeconomics), you know these wars are hurting the economy globally:

- Energy Prices and suppy chains
- Inflationary pressures
- Refugee Crisis and Migration
- Geopolitical Tensions and Trade Relationships
- Military Spending and Fiscal Strain (Remember US is tied to both of these wars)
- Market volatility
- Impact on Developing Economies (For example Africa is very reliant on Ukraine wheat and Russian fertilizers)

Trump as President elect is already working to come to agreements to end these wars. As of 2025, the combined death from both wars are in the 600,000 thousands. I guarantee you the war in Ukraine and Israel will come to an end during his administration. Is that not making the world a better place?

Weird that there were no articles that I know of complaining about all the tech companies consistently supporting and donating to democrats for years but when they do it with a Republican then its bad and worth writing about.
